Overcoming Barriers to Technology Integration in the Classroom

There are many barriers to successful implementation that are common to many teachers and administrators. These barriers include external issues such as hardware, software, infrastructure, and support as well as internal barriers such as teacher’s experiences and perceptions. This session will discuss those barriers and ways to overcome them in order to bring effective teaching strategies and authentic learning to the classroom.

Technology Teacher/Graduate Student, The Franklin Academy/NCSU
Daniel Kelly is a technology and robotics instructor at The Franklin Academy in Wake Forest, NC. He is also a graduate student in the Technology, Engineering, and Design Department at North Carolina State University where he works as a research assistant. His research interests are teacher efficacy in flipped curricula and the integration of technology in the classroom.
