Universal iPads: Lessons Learned
In the fall of 2012, Mercersburg Academy initiated a universal iPad program in which all faculty and students were required to come to class every day with their iPad. This presentation will cover the myriad of lessons we have learned in the two full years of our deployment. With an emphasis on the hidden technical gotchas as well as overcoming the obstacles faced in the classroom, Ryan will discuss all the best and worst of the program.

Managing All Your iPads and Apps Using Apple Configurator
Are you looking for an easier way to manage all those iPads in your school district or college campus? This session will discuss strategies and best practices for managing a large amount of iPads using the Apple Configurator app and a MacBook Pro. Apple Configurator is a free app used to manage multiple iPads and quickly prepare each device with the apps, settings, and files you want for your teachers and students to use in the classroom. The session will begin by providing an overview of setting up configuration profiles and outline how to purchase and install apps. Lessons learned in the creation of a Mobile iPad Learning Lab on a college campus will be discussed.

Elementary iPad Workflow: Utilizing the iPad Cart
Using a variety of resources, including iCloud and Google Drive, Franklin Academy K-2 teachers have been able to establish an effective and simple workflow process for the iPad carts. This workflow allows students in kindergarten, first and second grade to create using the devices and share their projects with teachers. This session also will provide some practical tips and tricks for using a shared iPad cart effectively and efficiently.
